What's With the Details?
The most amazing thing is that so many dealers know very little about the objects they are selling. When one draws them out on some object, knowing full well what it is, they will invent the most elaborate origins, dates and providences without even superficial plausibility. I have stood watching this process going on, and i am sure that it is part of the cultural behaviour of the tribe. If you know what a thing is, you can buy it or not. What's with the details? Some of the market people spend their winters in tyland or the ba armers. Others roar with laughter at the very thought that they could afford to get away, even for a week.
