Is There a Trade-Off Between Warmth and Competence?
There seems to be a trade off between perceptions of warmth and perceptions of competence. The more that somebody perceives you as competent, the less able they are to perceive you as warm. And in the financial services industry, we are incentivized to convey almost exclusively our competence. This is a very large missing it from this business.
