What I Loved About Motherhood

After the birth of her first child, writer and comic book artist LZ Granderson was diagnosed with postmartum depression. A nurse suggested that she revaluate what she loved about herself before becoming a mother. She found community on Twitter by finding black women who love comics too. "Just really taking the things that made me happy and like presenting em to the world is pretty powerful," says Granderson.
