A Data Fabric Is a Data Warehouse

When it's moved to the cloud we call it a modern data warehouse, at least it has my interpretation of it. And going once that further is we can call it a data fabric if we add certain other features like mastering the data and having extensive data access on that data. The big thing recently in the last couple of years has been metadata catalog because we have so much data. We also want to track the lineage of that data over time to see where it came from and how it got transformed.
