CHAPTER

A Foraging Game in a Grid World, You Know, a Foraging Game

In the game, agents get reward if they figure out how to eat a berry. They don't need to co operate at all on the eating part of things. So we then lookat what's the impact of introducing normative infa structure into this environmen. The first timewe run this game just like i described it, and the agents can’t figure out that the poisonous berry is poisonous. And the reason is because of a credit assignment problem. Once they get sick, they can't go back. That's a key thing about humans: We need to work on why people who violate the rules do not get rewarded for doing so.
