The Four Categories of Alienation That Marx Talks About in the 1844 Manuscripts
I think we could very directly use the four categories of alienation that Marx talks about in the 1844 manuscripts and sort of apply them to a lot of contemporary phenomena. So think about the way in which social media, which I really detest yet participate in minimally, it separates us from others because we no longer relate to our friends or our followers as people but merely in their capacity as possible like givers. And so it really splits us up in a way that prevents the development of a modern form of class consciousness,. Which is the key to the communist revolution that will ultimately result in the abolishment of wage labor and private property and the creation of a free world.
