What Is a Poltergeist?
The word poltergeist comes from the german language, which shares a common history with english. Noises are often reported in polter geist cases. Sometimes the noises are caused by moving or flying objects that crash into things. The term polter Geist was coined around 18 38 but seems to have caught on more among English speakers than germans. In german the poltergeist is more commonly called a spook and this episode will look at an actual poltergeist case.
