The Egyptian navy is the one that's been notably neglected for a very long time now. But with this discovery of large gas fields to the north of Egypt in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and regional rivals like Turkey and Israel already having large navies in these same waters, it will be re-prioritized. Do you think they'll instead choose diplomatic means to try and make peace with players like Turkey so they don't have to compete in these waters? What options does Cairo have in front of them? Two things. I think both sides want to avoid a military race, if you will, or escalation in the Med. There are other countries that have less space to reconcile between those two
