My Personal Origin Story as a Coffee Roaster
I was a student of biology and philosophy with no background in coffee roasting nor sensory evaluation at all. I did my master's thesis about a dialogue between Western cognitive science and Tibetan Buddhism, which was amazing. But I also longed for just having a normal job. And luckily I found some good friends at that time around Cafe Roper who were competing at the World Barista Championships. They really liked the project and introduced me to the whole specialty coffee scene. So this version of me is you. If you are not in the coffee business at all right now, this version ofme is you.
