The Importance of the Magnetic Field in Life
Our magnetic field has acted as a cradle for life on earth in some sense. It's protected us from the solar wind, so we haven't stripped the atmosphere. So really the importance of the magnetic field and those interactions are vital I think for life elsewhere. Next week it is Alquin of York, the 8th century Northumbrin at the heart of the Carolingian Renaissance.
