Is Hegel's Controversy a Privilege?
Hegel's whole point is that the privilege of the subject is that it can theorize contradiction rather than just be destroyed by it. So, if I look outside and I see a tree dying, that tree in Hegel's idea is just destroyed by contradiction. But I'm going to eventually die from coronavirus, because I have long problems, but I'll go through this too. That's the privilege of subjectivity. And I don't think we have to apologize for that or somehow get beyond that.
