You Don't Spend Seven Seasons Without a Long Story, Right?

If it were me, and that's the story i wanted to tell, i would just advance each season a hundred years or something along those lines. I haven't read speculation or leaks about what the story will actually be. There's so much ocean stuff in the trailers that i suspect numinor is still out there. The whole idea of palpatine's pullin the strings behind this other thing that's happening was a good idea but Lucas didn't know how to make it interesting.
