The Death of Saul

Saul is going to die at the end of this book, but he really dies way before that final battle. He's just kind of falling apart at the seams as we work our way through story. And it says David was prospering in all his ways because the Lord was with him. Both of those are lifted from the Joseph narrative. In this particular chapter, David is treated as sort of a Joseph top figure who was under threat. But even while under threat is acting wisely, having success, prospering.
