The Prophet's Triumph in Mecca

The Prophet Muhammad explicitly referenced the life and example of Joseph in the Quran at that final point when the Prophet went back to Mecca. In triumph, really, he had defeated his enemies. And what might have expected, perhaps if one didn't know the man, that he would have taken the opportunity to avenge himself. He forgave from a position of power and strength rather than position of weakness. This is something extraordinary about the man.
