Is There a Transition to Industry?

It does seem much more common that folks move between jobs once you're within industry than it is, say, in a NHS consultant role. I think to Jen's point about moving within companies, obviously the company has to be big enough to have other roles. The company I joined had a head count of about 500, and there were 20 in the cardiac team. So they brought me in to do a cardiac role. If they don't want a cardiac program, they don't need a cardiac team. And the company's so small that those additional roles aren't there. But when you are thinking about transitioning to industry, it's the size of the company is an important thing to consider.
