Early Maternity Is Affecting a Lot of People

I think the experience of early motherhood can be so marred by that anxiety of having to go back to work before you're physically or emotionally ready to. With my older daughter, I did not, freelancers don't get paid leave, obviously. And I had $0.0 coming in after she was born. So that just felt like it was hovering over me. We are beyond privileged and we had health insurance through our husband's job and he's a white collar worker. You can't even quantify what that is taking away from people.
