What to Do With a Patient With an Anti-Gab Metabolic Acidosis
Toxic alcohols will definitely be up there on my differential. Even large ingestions of insides, even large intestines of an anticonvulsant like valproic acid can cause a significant metabolic acidosis. HIV medications can cause that. There's a very, very, very long list when it comes to causes of anti-gab metabolic acidosis for sure. We're looking at all that kind of stuff as well.
