Sleep and Cardiovascular Disease
Sleep-related accidents are usually much more deathly than drink driving or drugs. Most people are chronically under slept, trying to survive on six hours of sleep or less. The links there between a lack of sleep and heart attack and stroke, hypertension are incredibly strong. In the autumn when we gain an hour of sleep, we see a 21% reduction in heart attacks.
