Is There a Volatility Tax in Asset Allocation?
I think basically all of this stems from the notion of volatility tax. If you have a time of low volatility, most likely it's going to stay roughly that way. So if you can monitor that and understand what volatility regimes were kind of in, it can inform if you should own assets or not. When they get correlated with each other, maybe you back off and be more safe. Knowing full wallet, these are all guesses.
