The Importance of on Air Apologies
I would have loved nothing more than for Tucker Carlson to apologize to his audience. I just worry that like you could have a Tucker apology and everyone would kind of understand that it's performative in the most literal sense of the term. And then tomorrow the Fox ecosystem, both the hosts and the audience, which is sort of memory hole that that apology ever happened. But of course the whole point is that they all live in an epistemically closed universe anyway. In the long run, I do think it's a mistake to get to sort of wrapped up with that.
