The US Strategic Petroleum Reserve Is a Bigger Deal Than the US Strategic Oil Reserve
The balance could change pretty dramatically here. We could see an extra half a million barrels a day of demand from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve. You could also see heading into 2023 China reopening, picking up momentum. And then of course, I think the sanctions on Russian petroleum products, which kick in on February 5, are certainly a much bigger deal than the sanctions on Russia crude.
