The Importance of Zone Two Training

I always say 60 to 80% of time in zone one, zone two is outstanding. And then we can start thinking about spending a little bit more time above and greater zones. But what we're starting to see is that you can even get up to 90 or 95%, especially if you're doing a substantial amount of zone two training. As long as you have enough faster work to make that aerobic system equate to very high speeds. Sometimes athletes get so comfortable just running downhills normally that they forget that the stresses are mechanical.
