Holly Crippen died in Los Angeles after getting sick on her way to the U.S. Her friends asked where they could send a letter of sympathy, and were told that it wasn't necessary. They contacted the U.s. Embassy but couldn't find her name on any passenger lists. She was not cremated; there would be no wreath for her grave.
