The number of companies and products that are being built outside Silicon Valley, in my opinion, is definitely increasing. And so you're seeing a lot more things in people in these area who are, this area who are experiencing the problems here were making solutions for products here. The worst case is that we don't even really realize that the problem exists because we haven't had someone go off and fight in a war. We haven't had a parent who's, um, who's become homeless because they lost their job because they're over this age. Those are just not the problems we have. So we aren't really trying to solve them or if we are, we're trying to solving them
This episode was actually recorded on February 18; however, due to circumstances, we had to hibernate Exponent and the episode was never actually edited and posted.
Now that the show is back – for good this time – we wanted to post the “missing episode” plenty of folks have asked us about. There are a couple of dated references, but the content is still very applicable.
In this episode we talk about privilege and whether Silicon Valley is solving the right problems. It’s certainly not a new question, but has it become more pressing in the last few months?
