Zwingley's Hymn of the Bubonic Plague
Zwingley had read luther's 95 theses against the sale and efficacy of indulgences. Instead of buying indulgences, zwingli called his flock to their nly true hope of salvation. The plague broke out on saint lawrence's day, wednesday, august tenth, 15 19. Out of a population of only 17 thousand, two thousand, 500 people died.
