The Metaphor of the Exodus and Christus Victor
Habakkuk three seems to introduce the idea of this alternative metaphor. It's called Christus Victor, it was a metaphor of the conquest of armies. Metaphor is trinitarian, so you could get why I think it's mystically comprehensive. Wayne Booth makes the point that metaphors reveal character and from a literary point of view it shows your character. So we're getting to a use of language that isn't just a vocative, but is revealing of your personality.
