i can still remember malarki crying in front of me as he's telling me about somebody dying right next to him and what it meant to him. To a man, these men could talk about some of the most diabolical human experiences that could be imagined. But this, this, even for them, was one step beyond yes. And i quickly found out why. I called him up and we talked about it for many, many hours, many conversations. He wanted me to get it right because its the late nineties, and holc denialism was just starting to sort of become a thing.And winters was very deeply offended by that, personally.
