The Protracted People's War in the Philippine Context?

A protracted people's war almost make sense in the philippine context, but trying to do that in like, belgium or something doesn't really make sense. It makes me think of like japan, where one of the communist groups that a splintered off basically took their group from like 50 or 60 committed revolutionaries down olike ten. They are trying to like enforce ideological purity before they really accomplished anything. Really nutty stuff. But, like, if you look at something like peru, right, with the sendero luminos o the shining path that like almost succeeded in terms of revolution. There is definitely nothing sort of comparable to that in Like, the west.
