Coaching - Is There a Lot More Dead Time?
Pep Guardiola is a great teacher of the game, says former Manchester United boss. He believes that players should be given time out to think about their problems and come up with solutions for them in training sessions. In his own coaching career he has seen this happen many times but it hasn't always been used as planned. Pep also thinks there's potentially a lot more dead time we'd call it in teaching in coaching where there are opportunities to learn. But if coaches don't maximize those learning opportunities they will miss out on valuable experience.
