Polygenic Risk Score for Cardiovascular Disease
There's a polygenic risk score for like cardiovascular disease and so I have a good one for that. And then you basically predict that somebody has this level of LDL cholesterol but if you have a high polygenic risk, you want to be more serious about it. There's actually a pretty good paper by Eric Topol a couple of years ago we were talking about sort of you integrate genetic risk with clinical risk. You increase or decrease your likelihood of intervening based on polygenic risk which makes perfect sense. But what I know is that it's more important for me that if my LDL cholesterol is higher that I need to take it more seriously.
