Space Habitats for Endangered Species
As time goes on and humanity gets better with automation and space travel, there's not likely to be any place with higher real estate values than on Earth. It would probably be ultimately cheaper to build new space habitats for endangered critters than to buy land here on Earth for them. We will bypass entirely the notion that we might force people off Earth. I think they're just not thinking about that notion and all that it entails.
