I self diagnosed that probably my freshman year, sophomore year, and then all I cared about was to understand, you know, trying to not care about what other people thought about me. And so there's these books right now, I was like, it's a subtle art of not giving a fuck, right? And that's what they're trying to don't care about what people think about you. That's just what humans are. We all desire recognition. The question is, what is the right type of social relationships? And what is theright type of recognition that you should be seeking? This is, in some sense, Hegel's question, the phenomenology.
