CNN's John Defterios asks Nikolai Karel to explain what happened in Ukraine. He says it was inevitable that a civil war would happen, and probably sooner is better than later. The Russian military intervention could have been achieved largely without violence, he says. And then as for the separatist movement and the Donbas, I think most Americans who have a view would say, but wait, wasn't that Russian inspired and supported from the beginning?
