Are Egg Prices Going Up?

A dozen of grade at large grade A eggs were $1.79 a year ago, now they're 425. The egg prices are to fall but have already fallen about 50%. Wasn't that because of avian flu? I've seen arguments on both sides. There is still an economic theory at work underneath all of this,. which is supply controls demand, demand control supply.
