In other words, if you're taking the objective stand so for the rest of this conversation, right? Objectivity, or the objective, is related to being, and subjectivity is related to knowledge in some respect. So what he's saying is that's just ultimately unsatisfying. And it's a kind of illegitimate use of reason to get metaphysical and talk about the soul and all that stuff. It just doesn't work.
