The Importance of Public Trust in Public Health
Jay Parini: I think your original study has largely proven to be correct. In places that had more older people, you had higher infection and fatality rate,. But in places that had younger people in Mumbai, for instance, the infection of fatality rate was lower. This is a highly infectious disease. It spreads pretty easily. And it's very, very difficult to stop the spread of it. What might be possible is protecting older people. That was never considered not deeply enough in March of 2020, April of 2020.
