A lot of these distortions are kind of interwoven. They're interconnected in different ways. If you label yourself, that's a thought. That's a labeling thought. I'm a loser. That thought causes you to feel horrible. You start thinking about all of your flaws. And then you say, wow, I feel like a worthless human being. I must be a loser. Do you see the emotional reasoning? The data showed what I tried to solve this chicken versus the egg problem. What comes first? The negative thought or the negative emotions?"
