Is the Bible Used as a Weapon of Shame and Humiliation?

One of the repeated stories through your book was the way that religion and the 12 steps of a a were kind of used as tortured devices to dramatize. You, like, whenever you would do something remotely bad, or not even like, you woud get lectured about the bible. And so these two kind of like beautiful things. They were just used in the wrong way, you know. That's as close as i got yet.
