The Importance of Reading Mythological Texts

Christianity Today magazine last year called Andrew Woll's the most important person that you don't know which is quite an interesting description. He was a missionary in West Africa in the 60s and then returned in the 70s for the rest of his life teaching in his native Scotland. A lot of the people he supervised are very active in mythology today. So you see his influence all over the world of mission today. It's an incredibly significant figure but often quite little known. Christianity Today magazine actually put this book in their list of the hundreds most important books of the 20th century alongside C.S. Lewis, Stott and Packard and Borne Hoffa.
