The Complexity of Enlightenment
When we talk about enlightenment and Nirvana and awakening, there's actually so many sort of levels or ways of conceptualizing it. The sense of attaining awakening for the sake of all beings doesn't necessarily imply that there's self-denial there. There's a productive paradox there that can be very confusing, which is that the more dedicated I am to the benefit of others, the more I bless myself.
