The Margaret Mead Story
Anthropologist margaret mead claimed that the earliest sign of civilization was a healed femer, a leg bone. She explained that such healings were never found in the remains of competitive savage societies. We know empathy and sacrifice were qualities known to humans who lived without large states or written language. The truth is, each human life is sacred. Each human life is equally valuable. And so for now, anyway, i can only give civilization two and a half stars.
