I think I'm probably really like orphan kid searching for family. And there is a real loneliness to acting and to writing. Where at a certain point, you're doing a lot of very intense homework by yourself. There's something about directing that for me has a real like joyous sort of Sydney Pollock kind of quality in the way we're in this together. You can't get too cocky for too long because it's coming down the bike.
