The Power of Baptism
In North African Christianity, there's a very close relationship between baptism and martyrdom. Tithonian tells us elsewhere that the newly baptized asked for special graces after their baptism in the assembly. And so it's like all of us are called to martyrdom by our baptism. We're called to die with Christ. But I think we forget too, like, forget the dignity to which our baptism calls us.
