Introduction

Gerolomo Savanarola is a man born in Ferrara, Italy in 1452. He was initially trained as a medical doctor by his grandfather, but he was convicted to join the Dominican order. There he would be known for his piety, his learning, and asceticism. And then a couple things happened that made him call out what he considered the lax devotion of his Dominican brothers.
