Is Demisexuality a Critical Identity?

The term demisexuality has been used to describe a variety of sexual orientations. Phoebe's friend, an older gay man, said he found it troublesome that young people were using the word "queer" in this way. She says there are many other dubious identities under the queer umbrella as well.
