We should earnestly strive to keep our soul and body pure and uncorrupted against the day of the lord. Calvin's exhortation reminds me o moha, of the words we find in james, chapter one, verse 27 b. That as believers in jesus christ, we are to endeavor to keep ourselves unstained by the world, unstainedby the world. And you will search in vain for anything resembling them
