Introduction

This week the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters released its interim report into the 2022 election. It recommended an ambitious suite of electoral law reforms, including political donation and spending caps to keep big money out of politics. Special Minister of State Don Farrell says he doesn't have a preliminary view about what level the cap should be set out.
