The Nucleus Acumbens Is Activated Everyday
The reward phase, when we talk about rewards, we have to talk about the brain. This area of the brain called the nucleus accumbens was first studied by two Canadian researchers. They found that lab animals wanted to do nothing but stimulate this part of the brain again and again and again. When people were given a little button to press on it, every time they pressed on this button, they would send an electrical jolt to this parts of the brain. The way the brain gets us to act is not necessarily by stimulating pleasure per se; it's about pain for pleasure.
