The High Place of Sacrifice
Abraham hated this old system, even the waste of a good stud without so much as a hunk of meat when he tried getting by with it. He hoped that this goat, the best one they had, would help appease the demand for sacrifice. Abraham argued with a voice for another week, but he knew how this story had to go. As he would try to explain later is God demanded, all the first born, from man to beast, quote, they shall be mine Yahweh said in the Scripture, I am the Lord.
