The Miss World Demonstration
Sally Alexander was one of five women who were eventually charged and taken to court. She says the demonstration had more than achieved its original aims. It remains one of the most high profile protests ever staged by the women's movement. The Miss World beauty pageant still takes place but the BBC stopped broadcasting it in the 1980s.
